NHS Foresterhill Energy Centre, Aberdeen, 1.5MW Steam boiler installed
Buccleuch BioEnergy Ltd. has completed the installation of a Kohlbach K8-1500kW biomass steam boiler, economizer and flue gas filtration system together with a new and innovative fuel reception system overcoming costly underground biomass bunkers. The start-up, commissioning and successful performance test was carried out mid-September 2011.

The K12 furnace is the latest Kohlbach development on compact furnace and boiler design and increases the energy outputs to 18,000kW thermal to give greater range and performance for combined heat and power systems.
