Aboyne Academy, Aberdeenshire
A 600kW Kohlbach biomass boiler was installed at Aboyne Academy, 30 miles west of Aberdeen, for Aberdeenshire Council. The site includes an academy, primary school, indoor swimming pool, theatre and community centre.
Albyn Housing Association, Aviemore
A 400kW Kohlbach boiler, a 120kW Thermia boiler, thermal accumulator tanks and back-up boiler were installed to provide heating and hot water to 132 houses owned by the Albyn Housing Association in Aviemore, in the Highlands of Scotland.
Gleneagles Hotel, Perthshire
A 1250kW KOB biomass boiler was installed to act as a “base load” boiler for Gleneagles Hotel’s heating and hot water and a unique fuel feed system was designed and installed for the hotel.
Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh
A 1500kW Kohlbach biomass boiler and all associated equipment were installed into the new university campus on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The fully automatic computerised control system enables the biomass boiler to act as “lead” boiler on the site, which provides heating and hot water for 4,000 people.
